Company Picnic Ideas
There is a lot to consider when planning a company picnic. You can try and take this on yourself, or you can have the pros at PartyWorks help you out. Either way, you will need a few ideas before you can decide on what is best for your group. Employees are what make a company go and we need to treat them right and show they are appreciated. A yearly company picnic is perfect for this. But where to start? Let us help.
A good place to start is by deciding where you want to have your event. You have so many options here!
How about your parking lot? If it is large enough, then we can bring the fun right to you! We do many company picnics like this each year and it saves money by not renting a facility. We can fill your parking lot up with fun, food and entertainment. If you go this route, you won’t have to worry about permits that you may need at a park. This is ideal for getting the biggest bang for your buck!
You can rent a site at a park. There are a lot of parks with shelters that have some power and running water. Some even come with sinks and cooking grills. Usually they will include a grassy area large enough to put a couple inflatables, dunk tanks, or other fun items. An airbrush tattoo artist or face painter are also very popular add-ons. Just remember that you may need to get permits for inflatables and games. Below we have a list of where to get permits for each county.
Rent a large venue for a bigger group. Some companies will rent out bigger places like Hillsboro Stadium, Providence Park or the Rose Quarter. We work with all these places and are more than happy to bring our most fun items there as well.
Remember, in the Northwest we only have so many nice days a year. Pick your date and give us a call to ensure we have availability. The earlier you book, the more likely you will get everything you want. We do have a massive inventory and are capable of doing many events each day.
If you are planning on having your event at a park, there are some additional steps you will need to take. Most parks require a special event permit and possibly insurance to be purchased. Here are some links to help you figure out what you will need for your party.
